Every relationship has its challenges, but imagine working through issues when you and your partner are both CIA agents! Wonderbound Artistic Director Garrett Ammon's latest world premiere is his wildest ride yet, as Agent Sloan Sachs (Morgan Sicklick) and her partner, Agent Trevor Maack (Damien Patterson), infiltrate an enemy's headquarters, hack into their database, and download information vital to national security.

This cloak-and-dagger spy-thriller, rife with double agents, foreign intrigue, and, yes, even a zombie, never lets up from the opening scene—featuring top-notch fight choreography with an array of martial arts moves in a two against eight street brawl—to the final bittersweet elegy of love and loss.

Ammon imbues his story, filled with intrigue and unpredictable twists and turns, with a fun array of fun dance numbers—Loved the Macarena!—set to an eclectic mix of pop hits by Jane's Addiction, Chris Isaak, Portishead, Ani DiFranco, Mazzy Star, R.E.M., Björk, Seal, Concrete Blonde, the Beastie Boys, and more.

Sicklick is a tour de force, appearing in almost every scene—making a get away, under interrogation, sharing romance, and brandishing a spectrum of weapons. Patterson, too, flies through attackers, holds up under questioning, makes time with Sicklick, and brings an alternate universe to the fore.

In the world of spooks, where loyalty and allegiance is illusory, Sachs' best friend, Veronic Vail (Jocelyn Green) is a triumph in ambiguity, as we strive to figure out who dunnit. Karina Cardella, a Spanish Scientist, weaves a wicked spell on Maack, and Michael Hinton, an Austrian Tycoon, does a number on Sachs during a masquerade in Vienna.

Ammon's cinematic projections and modular set pieces provide rich verisimilitude for the proceedings. Dawn Fay's costumes—elegantly accented principals, sinister and shadowy agents, glamorous and glitzy seducers—and Karalyn Star Pytel's symbiotic lighting design amplify the choreographic and dramatic storyline.

Wonderbound's world premiere of Oh Me, Oh My! runs through May 8th. All performances are sold out, due to limited seating protocols. Subscriptions for Wonderbound's 2022-2023 season, can be ordered here. For future announcements, sign up for the company's newsletter.
